When I first talked with Kristie about her wedding vision, her main desire was “to feel like a princess” on her wedding day. Her original wedding plans were all pointing in that direction for sure, having reserved the Scotish Rite Cathedral in New Castle for their ceremony and reception and selecting, what I call, the perfect “Cinderella blue” for her bridesmaids dresses.
And then COVID reared its ugly head into the picture.
Kristie and Christopher rescheduled their special day from May to August 2020, hoping their wedding could proceed as planned by August, but unfortunately the restrictions on indoor venues would still not allow them to enjoy their day with their full list of friends and family.
Thankfully, Kristie and Christopher had Pam Watkins of Center of Attention Rentals as their planner and coordinator, and Pam kicked it into high gear to recreate their wedding day within just a few weeks at an outdoor venue, which would allow up to 250 guests. While it wasn’t the Cathedral with stone pillars and big staircases type of fairytale wedding, SNPJ in Enon Valley provided a beautiful location for their wedding day. I’d like to think it was more of a wedding for Princess Rapunzel versus Cinderella, although there were still lots of “Cinderella” flare to the day!
