The Athens-Paladin Engagement Session
December 17, 2018
@David L. Lawrence Center, North Park, The National Aviary
Wintertime without snow can be a challenge, especially if you're like me and you dislike the dismal cold. Savannah and I explored a few options for their engagement shoot in Pittsburgh and praise the Lord we landed on two great indoor options! One being the National Aviary and the other, the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. I felt it was a bit of a long shot asking the DLLC if we could shoot there. I mean, it's a huge venue with bigger clients and people to take care of than me. But Ethan at the DLLC was exceptional and was so helpful to find us a 30-minute window on a slow weekday that we could shoot there. The view of the Pittsburgh scape from the mezzanine level balcony was AMAZING! I couldn't have asked for a better backdrop of the city. We braved the cold outdoors in North Park, but my favorite may have been shooting in the National Aviary, which provided us all the full, green foliage we could wish for in the middle of December. However, the fabulous locations would really fall short if Savannah and Stephen hadn't been so darn cute together throughout the shoot. I swear every time I was about to prompt Stephen to give her a kiss, he was already there! The variety of locations for this shoot was a lot of fun and made for some dreamy photos!
